The goal of this artistic endeavor "PERSONA" was to repurpose denim in the attempt to define a new conception of recycled denim as art. One person’s trash is another’s treasure, but deeper than that is a notion that from destruction or waste emerges the possibility for beauty. The deconstruction of these denim sculptures happened not by undoing stitching, but rather by sculpting the appearances while preserving and honoring the inherent shapes they possessed.

This undertaking marked my initial exploration into the idea that as artists and designers, we possess the ability to utilize existing resources to forge new and groundbreaking creations, all without causing harm or damage to the materials involved.
